Since the 1960's I have been engaged in an ongoing project that has had fundamentally to do with our
existence. To some degree this began with my oil paintings but became more specific with my poured
polyurethane relief work and sculpture, inspired by the combination of the Vietnam war; going to the moon
and outer space; giving birth; and emerging as a being among other beings, human and otherwise. The
procedures for doing this has combined wiring with forms and mixed media, mixing a sense of weight with
weightlessness.
